Softening the wax is crucial for a comfortable and effective procedure. In the five days leading up to your appointment, we recommend using medicated oil drops or a spray like Earol once daily in the affected ear.
To determine if wax removal is suitable for you, especially if you have the following conditions, contact us to speak with an audiologist before your appointment:
- Dry, tickly, or irritable throat
- Poor head and neck control
- Diabetes
- Currently taking blood-thinning medication
- High or low blood pressure
