Recycle for Sight

Donating your unwanted glasses is an easy way to help us reach our net zero goal.

Your donation helps us to support the Lions Club and their eye-related projects in the UK and overseas, while helping us to reduce the amount of waste sent to landfill.

Perfect Vision Opticians is excited to introduce a new initiative in collaboration with recycling experts MYgroup.

We are now offering our valued customers the opportunity to recycle their glasses and contact lenses in-store, and it's absolutely free!

Partnering with MYgroup, we have strategically placed recycling collection boxes in Perfect Vision Opticians stores across the country. You can conveniently drop off various eyewear products, including metal and plastic glasses, sunglasses, contact lenses, and associated accessories like blister packs, contact lens cases, solution bottles, glasses cases, and lens cloths.

Once the collection bins are full, these items will be sent to our dedicated recycling site in Hull. Here, your glasses and contact lenses will be given a second lease of life, being transformed into a diverse range of items such as furniture, home and garden accessories, benches, play park equipment, and even board materials suitable for the building trade.

What sets our initiative apart is the commitment to a truly circular economy. Every item created by MYgroup has the potential to be recycled over and over again, ensuring that the materials you drop off for recycling can be repurposed multiple times.

By offering this recycling service, we are not only meeting the desires expressed by our customers but also contributing to a greener future.
